Every session is capped at six people, so you get real time at the wheel and real help when the clay has other ideas. No experience needed.

Our Story

Made slowly, by one pair of hands.

The Clay Table started as a single wheel in a quiet corner and a habit of giving mugs to friends. Today it is a small working studio where every piece is thrown, trimmed and glazed by hand, then fired twice so it is ready for real kitchens and real mornings.

Weekends are for sharing it. Small classes, a pot of tea, and the kind of focus that only happens when your hands are covered in clay.

From Clay to Cupboard

How every piece comes to life

Around three weeks of patient work goes into each mug, bowl and vase before it reaches your table.

Wedge & Throw

Clay is wedged by hand, centered on the wheel and pulled into shape.

Trim & Dry

Once leather hard, each piece is trimmed, footed and left to dry slowly.

Bisque Fire

A first firing turns fragile clay into porous, glaze ready ceramic.

Glaze Fire

Glazes are dipped by hand and fired hot for a durable, food safe finish.

Do I need any pottery experience?

Not at all. Most of our guests have never touched a wheel before. Classes are small so everyone gets hands on guidance from start to finish.

What should I wear to class?

Clothes you do not mind getting a little muddy, short or tied back nails, and hair pulled away from your face. Aprons are provided.

When can I take my piece home?

Pieces need to dry, be fired and glazed, which takes about two to three weeks. We will email you as soon as yours is ready to collect.

Can I cancel or move my booking?

Yes. Let us know at least 48 hours before your session and we will move you to another weekend or refund your spot.

How does buying a piece work?

Each piece is listed on its own. Tap Buy this Piece, check out securely, and choose local pickup or shipping. Once it sells, it is gone for good.

Do you host private sessions?

We do, for birthdays, small team outings and date nights of up to six people. Reach out with a date in mind and we will make it happen.
